Though I began as a non-fiction writer, I knew at some point I had to produce content blending history and facts into a story.  Thus began the Chandler Scott thriller series.  The series takes a number of historical events and projects them into the near future with the story based in the United States.  Prominent in the series is financial crisis, politics, cyber terror, hackers, a secret society, mentors, and a journalist navigating his way through unfolding stories and presenting it to the American public.  His discoveries will frighten some and reassure others.  It truly is a nation divided.

What emerges is a struggle in society and government.  The tug-of-war evolves into a nation tearing at the seams and factions devising solutions.  If this sounds like present day America, you’ve just scratched the surface of how the novel series progresses.  While the series offers entertainment, the reader will no doubt reflect on what they’ve read and consider current events.  The novel does not describe a dystopian future like 1984 or The Hunger Games, but rather illustrates a realism with which readers can identify.

Simplifying the complex.  Uniting thought.  Describing the future.

His non-fiction work under the Escaping Oz series will make you understand why proposed solutions for financial and economic problems miss important points.  These problems will worsen until there’s an honest discussion about their resolution.  The last release in the series, Escaping Oz: An Observer’s Reflections, will give you a foundation for honest discussion.  We’ve been watching politics and economics clash for a few years.  Prepare for more.  Are you prepared?

The Chandler Scott thrillers (2020, Rebellium, Division, and Hope) are so realistic, they will make you wonder if such outcomes are possible.  In today’s socially divided world, they offer a chilling look at the future.  It’s not a dystopian future, but it will be uncomfortable for many.   The novels feature a compelling story of a young journalist’s experience with politics, financial crisis, and cyber terror and the mentors who guide him through it.  Throughout his journey, he wrestles with balancing time with the love of his life and his dedication to his profession, which increasingly impacts the country’s future.

He presents a unique profile with backgrounds in tech, social science, politics, finance and economics, making him uniquely suited to tackle difficult societal issues or create a new sub-genre in the thriller segment.

An Intelligent Read

I enjoyed reading 2020 very much. You were able to weave economic facts into a thrilling plot. That takes a lot of skill.

Escaping Oz Review

American Economy Ready to Implode

We are certainly on the edge of an economic precipice as Mr. Mosquera clearly documents. He takes us through the “economics jungle” in plain understandable language that even I understood. All chapters end with a Summary of salient points and issues; and, what is even more helpful, are the “Reader Actions” he includes at the end of chapters where appropriate.
